Job Description:
Key Responsibilities Include
- Teach Standard and Higher Level Chemistry and Maths to students in the DP (Diploma Programme).
- Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons aligned with the IB DP framework.
- Foster critical thinking, international-mindedness, problem-solving, and experimental skills through real-world applications and interdisciplinary projects.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support academic growth.
- Assess student progress using IB assessment criteria, providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
- Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and confidence in learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Chemistry and Mathematics with other subject areas and real-world contexts.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported to take intellectual risks.
- Actively maintain a culture of vigilance to identify any changes in student well-being,reporting all concerns promptly in line with school safeguarding procedures.
- Contribute positively to our school culture and morale, ensuring the school remains a welcoming, inclusive, and professional working environment where everyone belongs.
